These lamps look great, but be warned that they aren't really sconces, in that the wires come out the bottom of the lamp, and terminate with a plug. I bought them for above a large fireplace, but they were too tall, and I needed to connect them directly, and without messing with the lamp too much, it was impossible.

I will be using them in a different location, where I can plug them in, and I'm sure they will be beautiful there... they really are nice.... sort of Africany tropical... which was the look I wanted.

This is just what I wanted. I had dimmers put on them and they are on with side of my fireplace mantle. They look GREAT!
